About Hampta Pass Trek Package

Hampta pass trek falls in Himachal Pradesh. It is at the height of 14,000 ft above sea level. On one side of the trek, you will notice the lush green forests of Kullu, blooming flowers of Kullu & the best view of the grassland but on the other side you will see barren mountains, arid places of Lahaul.

This trek is 25 km which will take 6 days to cover according to the Hampta pass trek package. We can put Hampta pass as the Himachal’s Valley of Flowers. So as you know Hampta pass is a two sided trek so you will start from Kullu side & end in the Spiti valley.

Itinerary

Day 1 Drive rom Manali to Jobra | Trek to chika (2 Km)
Assemble at the boarding point in Manali - Base Camp in Aleo, freshen-up and meet your Trek Guide. Drive from Manali to Jobra and enjoy the scenic drive offering breathtaking views of Kullu valley.
Begin with your thrilling trek towards your campsite namely Chika from Jobra. From lush green forests, crossing wooden brdiges to refreshing Rani Nallah stream, the trekking trail to Chika has so much to offer.
After arriving at Chika, check-in to our scenic campsite and have some leisure. Feel free to take a stroll around your campsite and soak amidst the stunning Himalayan beauty.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps at Chika.
Day 2 trek from Chika to Balu Ka Ghera | 9 Km
Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, we will trek from Chika to Balu Ka Ghera. The trekking trail, accompanied by Hampta River, starts as a short meadow terrain that later turns into boulders and loose rocks. Get mesmerized by the stunning views of the mighty Dhauladhar range.
After arriving in Balu Ka Ghera, check-in to our camps and have some leisure. Feel free to take a stroll through flowery meadows and verdant Himalayan valley.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps at Balu Ka Ghera.
Day 3 Drive from Balu Ka Ghera to Siagoru Via Hampta Pass | 7 Km
Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, we will start our trek from Balu Ka Ghera to the Siagoru via Hampta Pass nestled at 14,100 ft above sea level. Entire trail is made up of boulders hence it becomes a bit trickier.
Witness the gorgeous view of Deo Tibba while traversing through the mighty Hampta Pass. Experience the stunning natural beauty, vibrant fauna and pristine glacial streams flowing through it.
Post lunch, trek down from Hampta Pass to Siagoru. The downhill trail consists of slippery soil and loose stones.
After arriving in Siagoru, check-in to our camps and have some leisure.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps at Siagoru.
Day 4 Siagoru to Chatru (7 Km) | Drive to Chandratal & Back
Wake up early in the morning and post breakfast, we will start our downhill trek from Siagoru to Chatru. Stay alert as you descend down over tricky slopes devoid of proper vegetation.
After arriving in Chatru, check-in to our camps and post lunch drive towards Chandratal - a glacial lake situated in Lahaul Valley and source of Chandra river.
Soak in the calmness of Chandratal (also known as the Moon Lake) and capture some #InstaPerfect shots. Experience the virgin natural charm of Lahaul Valley.
Post a short sightseeing tour to Chandratal, drive back to Chatru and have some leisure in our camps.
Savour home-style cooked dinner and overnight stay in camps at Chatru.
Day 5 Drive to Chatru to Manali | Trek Ends
Wake up to a peaceful mountain morning and post breakfast, check-out from our camps and drive from Chatru to Manali.
By afternoon, you will be dropped at Manali. If time permits, feel free to stroll around the town or chill at various theme-based cafes in Old Manali.
Trek ends with lots of amazing memories and unforgettable experiences.

Inclusions

Transportation: Tempo Traveler/Sumo/Bolero (from Manali to Jobra & Chatru to Manali along with Chandratal day-visit).
4 Nights Accommodation on sharing basis in Tents/Dome Camps.
Meals: Breakfast+Lunch+Dinner (starting from Lunch on Day 1 till Breakfast on Day 5) with complimentary evening tea & snacks. Lunch will be provided either in packed and hot-serve format as per day & campsite location.
Camping & trekking equipments - tent, sleeping bags & mattresses, gaiters, micro spikes & rope if required).
Well qualified and experienced trek leader and support staff.
All necessary entry fees and forest permits.
First-Aid medical kit for emergencies.
Driver allowances, toll taxes, parking, state taxes.

Exclusions

₹400 per person local 4x4 vehicle fee for Chandratal (mandatory as per local authority regulations).
Any extra meals apart from the ones mentioned under inclusions.
Please Note: For responsible travel, carry your own leak-proof tiffin box for packed lunch.
Travel Insurance, items of personal nature like porterage, tips, laundry etc.
Any entry fees, extra expenses for optional activities or tickets, unless quoted in Inclusions.
Cost of snow-chained or 4*4 Vehicle if needed due to heavy snowfall.
Any other costing involved due to circumstances like natural calamity, weather conditions, riots, roadblocks, landslides or any other forced circumstances which are out of our control.
GST (5%) is applicable extra.
Anything which is not mentioned in the above inclusions.

Things To Pack

Sunglasses, torch, trekking pole, charger, power bank, quick dry towel, adequate amount of cash, quick snacks/dryfruits/energy bars, trash & waterproof laundry bags, re-usable water bottle.

Good quality rucksack (preferably 40-60 liters) & day backpack (preferably 20-30 liters) with rain-cover is recommended, avoid to carry trolley bag.

Personal medication (as prescribed by the doctor) & first-aid, sprain relief spray, glucose powder, tablets for headache, fever, diarrhea, motion sickness, dettol & cotton/bandages.

Personal documents & ID's like aadhar card, drivers license, passport or any other valid Government ID proofs.

Personal care items like cold cream, sunscreen (preferably SPF50), lip balm, sanitary pads, toothpaste & other toiletries, wet wipes, hand sanitizer, insect repellent, body spray, toilet paper.

Heavy down jacket (supports -5°C to -10°C), wind proof jacket, long track/cargo pants (preferably polyester), T-shirts, body thermal wears, sun cap/hat, woolen cap & gloves, raincoats/ponchos.

A pair of trekking shoes with good grip, ankle support & waterproof, atleast 3 pair of socks & floaters/sandals (for campsite purpose).
